If you are trying to lose weight for a while, you may have come across apple cider vinegar. In this article, I am going to share whether you should consume apple cider vinegar for weight loss or not:

Can Apple Cider Vinegar help me in losing weight?

Not enough studies have been conducted on apple cider vinegar to prove its effectiveness. Still, few studies indicate that apple cider vinegar may assist in weight loss.

For instance, some studies show that apple cider vinegar reduces appetite and increases the feeling of fullness.

The only study that made me start consuming apple cider vinegar for weight loss is the study conducted on obese Japanese adults. This study may get your hopes up too!

A 12-week study on 144 obese Japanese adults showed that adults who consumed 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of vinegar managed to lose 2.6 pounds (1.2 kg) and 0.5 inches (1.4 cm) of waist circumference.

Moreover, Participants who consumed 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of vinegar per day lost 3.7 pounds (1.7 kg) and 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) of waist circumference.

So, trying apple cider vinegar may not be a bad choice. However, you have to keep in mind that consistent consumption of apple cider vinegar does carry some risks.

Since apple cider vinegar is highly acidic, regular consumption in large amounts may irritate your throat. So, it’s best if you consult your nutritionist before adding apple cider vinegar to your diet.
