There is a quote in Fight Club said by Chuck Palahniuk (Brad Pitt), “Our Great war’s a spiritual war.”

If you look at all entertainment, media we couldn’t be closer to that quote. In a time where just about everyone is trying to influence our minds, trying to convince us to believe in something or buy something, we rarely get time to step back and rationally think about anything.

It’s like our minds are constantly flooded by illusions one after another, not giving us the time to think, to react in a rational manner.

Our mind which is our greatest ally, is now at the mercy of manipulation from all ends. Maybe this is the sign that we need to develop spiritually.

Here are some spiritual quotes to enrich your soul and take your first step for spiritual development:

I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.

John Lennon

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you really are.

Carl Jung

Toby Mac

Ved Vyasa
quote by nagarjuna

If you desire ease, forsake learning. If you desire learning, forsake ease. How can the man at his ease acquire knowledge, And how can the earnest student enjoy ease? ——— The science, which teaches arts and handicrafts Is merely science for the gaining of a living; But the science which teaches deliverance from worldly existence, Is not that the true science?” ———- There is pleasure when a sore is scratched, But to be without sores is more pleasurable still. Just so, there are pleasures in worldly desires, But to be without desires is more pleasurable still.

The Soul appears to be finite because of ignorance. When ignorance is destroyed the Self which does not admit of any multiplicity truly reveals itself by itself: like the Sun when the clouds pass away. ———- Just as the fire is the direct cause for cooking, so without Knowledge no emancipation can be had. Compared with all other forms of discipline Knowledge of the Self is the one direct means for liberation.

Adi Shankara

My shoulder is against yours. you will not find me in the stupas, not in Indian shrine rooms, nor in synagogues, nor in cathedrals: not in masses, nor kirtans, not in legs winding around your own neck, nor in eating nothing but vegetables. When you really look for me, you will see me instantly — you will find me in the tiniest house of time. Kabir says: Student, tell me, what is God? He is the breath inside the breath.
