You can binge-watch a couple of videos to make yourself feel good. But true happiness is about satisfaction. When you know that you are on the right track and slowly but surely you are moving towards your goals

Maybe you want to be more healthy, find love or enlightenment. whatever it may be if you are not moving towards your ultimate goal then you won’t be happy. Telling yourself that you are happy all day long when you know that your weight is affecting your looks is not going to work

So, stop lying to yourself and start changing yourself in a way that you are proud of yourself. You are proud of who you are and what you are going to become. Take action and transform your mind and body to its full potential

It’s now or never. Here are 11 lifestyle changes you can incorporate in your current lifestyle that will help you in taking control of your life, your health, happiness, and productivity

1. Wake Up Early

The first lifestyle change is to incorporate a proper sleep schedule

How you start your day will inevitably determine how you go through your day. You can stay in your bed or wake up and do something you love. Don’t take a passive approach toward life. After waking up immediately go to the bathroom and while looking at your face in the mirror

Tell yourself, “I am ready for the victory”. In order to ensure that you start your day with the right mindset

Sticking to a sleep routine is so simple and yet most people avoid it. This is the main reason for lack of energy throughout the day

I know its hard to maintain a proper sleep schedule when you can just surf the internet endlessly trying to find a funny cat video But you have to do it

Having a proper bedtime will make your life infinitely more organized. You will have more energy throughout the day for things that are important. A study even suggests that poor sleep cycle can affect your weight

People who are sleep deprived are more prone to weight gain

Benefits of following a proper bedtime routine:

  1. You will be more active throughout the day
  2. You will be more organized
  3. You will have more energy
  4. No need to rush into things in the morning
  5. You will have time for breakfast
  6. You will have more time to meditate and exercise

2. Start Your Day With Meditation

Life is up and down. One moment you’re up and feeling all good, the next you’re down. For me, it was too easy to get stressed over things. Living in a constant state of stress, anxiety, and depression is not healthy for your mind as well as your body. But there I was being stressed out about literally everything

I looked at life as a victim. The only thing I believed in was my inability to accomplish anything. Most of the times the problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem and my attitude made it impossible for me to even pay my rent, let alone live comfortably

Then a friend of mine helped me in changing my attitude. Long story short it worked like a charm. I realized that sometimes people around you are not as positive as you think and if you are lucky someone will help you out otherwise you may never get the chance to leave that place

For me changing my outlook, managing stress, anxiety, depression was too big a task to accomplish. It took me around a year to just stop thinking of myself as a victim and take on life head-on. Meditation is something that helped me from the Day 1

Starting your day with meditation will help you focus your thoughts and energy in the right direction. Constant worry about the future, your love life, your family, health, goals makes it impossible to focus on what’s right in front of us. Meditation, on the other hand, will help you in gaining focus

I know a lot of people utilize meditation to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. But you can also utilize meditation to increase your overall focus. By meditating constantly you can literally hardwire yourself to stay focused at a task for hours

There are a lot of ways to meditate. I meditate by focusing on the tip of my nose while breathing slowly. At first, you will feel a little bit of headache but as you get used to it your overall ability to focus will increase exponentially

You can also meditate by focusing on an object in front of you

Moreover, Breathing while focusing will help you in reducing stress. A study conducted on 3500 adults showed that meditation indeed helped them in reducing stress. After focusing for 5-10 minutes. I shift to affirmations and refocusing my subconsciousness

3. Refocusing Subconsciousness

You may think I waste a lot of my time on these useless tasks but these small lifestyle changes are the main reason for my overall productivity, health & happiness. These small actions help me in becoming certain of myself

At the beginning stages of our life, we have goals, ambitions, dreams which we want to achieve. But as we grow through life, we start doubting ourselves and our ability to make a difference. Rather than thinking ourself as a master of our destiny, we start to think ourself as a victim to the actions of others

Our dreams for the world, ourselves, and for people around up all gone. Never to be felt again. The reason behind this is the people surrounding us. They fill us up with doubts and uncertainties

Maybe they are not doing it consciously, or in my case maybe they are. But what we are left with is indecisiveness, hesitation, confusion, lack of certainty in on our own actions

Just drifting through life as a victim. This is the reason for stress, anxiety, depression, and suffering. Because all those uncertainties pile up and when we face a problem, deep down we know we have nothing inside of us to fight the problem and emerge as a winner

We are told again and again to be a good girl/boy. But never to be a strong girl/boy. As a result, we become good and forget about being strong. If I remember correctly, I felt stressed out just looking at myself and thinking about what others will think about me

This is where refocusing your subconsciousness comes in. It helps in growing parts of ourselves we forgot about. In order to achieve anything successfully, you need a connection with your subconscious self. You need to develop a sense of authority, a crystallized consciousness, a gut feeling that nothing can stop you from getting what you want

Completing a task with perfection requires confidence. You want to be healthy but deep down you doubt your ability to lose weight. Then every time you take an action doubt creeps in and stops you from completing it with perfection

This happens literally all the time. You have an important business meeting that may help you gain the financial freedom you desire and finally live happily after paying your Mortgage

But here you are doubting your actions and getting stressed over whether you can make the meeting successful or not. This doubt is what is going to make your meeting a living hell. I know it cause I have been there and done that

Just expose yourself to some sort of physical activity in the morning. One hour of jogging will burn around 400 calories and even walking will help you in burning up to 200+ calories

Performing yoga every day can boost your immunity, improve your sleep quality, improve lung functions, help you in gaining mental clarity, improve your posture, help you in maintaining as well as in losing weight, help you in toning your body, and can also improve your heart health

If you are a newbie you can start by performing simple yoga poses. Even if you are overweight there are still hundreds of poses you can perform to gain the benefits of yoga

I recommend performing yoga after the jog

Always organize your day the night before! If you are not organizing your day this way then you will feel stressed out and overwhelmed with your tasks. Moreover, your overall productivity will be negligible
